Aerobic Routine

Are you trying to lose weight? You probably already know how important it is to eat less food, but did you know how important exercise is, too? A lot of people are worried that if they exercise, they will eat too much, and they will not lose weight. However, if you only diet, you will probably lose muscle and not fat. So for optimum fat burning, your best bet is a healthy diet and an aerobic routine.

Aerobic exercise can be as simple as taking a walk around the block. Any regular activity you do that gets your heart rate up also counts. If you are shoveling snow or using a push mower, then you are doing an aerobic routine. You are burning calories and fat and making your heart healthier.

It is a good idea to get some form of aerobic activity most days of the week. Most people take at least one day a week off from formal exercise. If you are just starting your aerobic routine, you can start with just ten or fifteen minutes a day. As you develop a habit, then work your way up to as much as sixty minutes a day. The more you exercise, the more fat you burn. However, you do not want to overwork your body.

Adding exercise to your life is a worthwhile goal. When you consider the benefits, it is hard to imagine why someone would not exercise. So put on your tennis shoes and go for a walk today!
